Yeah and instead of helping him, Ollie put him in the street.
That whole thing was stupid. It was supposed to be DC's attempt at addressing "youth's greatest problem", which implies that it would actually be taken seriously or examined at length or something. All that happens is Ollie freaking out, beating Roy a bit and kicking him out in one issue, and then in the next issue Roy walks up to Ollie and punches him in the face for putting him on the streets (apparently Hal and Dinah helped him kick the habit off-panel, they never went into how or what happened or anything like that). How is that addressing the problem? That's just depicting a character with the problem, and then the character miraculously getting rid of the problem in no time flat.
