Diamond Lil
Diamond Lil is a comic book character that first appeared in Alpha Flight #1
Mutant with diamond hard skin and hair.
Diamond Lil was an original member of Omega flight. She was one of the villains who killed Guardian in issue 12 of Alpha Flight.
History
Origin
Gamma Flight
Evidence of Lil's mind control came to light and some time later Lil rejoined Gamma Flight at the governments request in exchange for a full pardon. She was soon reunited with Madison Jeffries and received an invitation to join Alpha Flight shortly after. Heather resented Lillian because of the part she played in her husband's death, but after Guardian returned to life it seems that they have resolved their issues. Lillian then began to see her old boyfriend Madison Jeffries while he was engaged to Heather.
Diamond Lil found a lump in her breast but due to her mutation there was no way to biopsy it to test for cancer. During a fight Lil was cut by laser that was grafted to the attacking alien. She ripped the laser out of his body and brought it to the government so she could have her biopsy. The lump was determined to be benign.
Lillian was interred in the Neverland concentration camp for a time. She was badly beaten by the guards for resisting and could not defend herself because of the power negation field.
The results of M-Day found Diamond Lil to still have her powers. She accepted the offer of sanctuary at the Xavier Institute and joined the ranks of the 198 on the Institute's grounds, but she soon grew angry with their concentration camp like living area and left with Mr. M.
Necrosha and Death
Diamond Lil resurfaced during Selene's Inner Circle's attack on the X-Men. She tended to Iceman's wounds before she grew impatient standing idly by. Despite warnings from her husband, Lil ran towards the deadly group of mutants before being grabbed by the neck by Mortis. Mortis' powers generated an energy disruptive field, which made Lil's force field non-functional, allowing Mortis to deliver the blow that ended Lil's life.Powers
Diamond Lil's mutant ability constantly generates an extremely strong force field around her entire body. She constantly saturates her body with a reinforcing bio-aura of impenetrable energy, rendering her virtually invulnerable to all forms of physical impact or assault, temperature extremes, or energy based attacks. The force field remains even when separated from her body, for example a piece of her hair is strong enough to choke someone even when removed from her head.
