THE GOOD: Mateus Santolouco is an amazing artist and I'm glad that he is on a book like this. His whole style just defines the book with a tone and a feeling that is something I hope stays in the book for a long while. The backgrounds are consistent and the expressions are telling. He also draws actions scenes very well. The story is very complex and will probably require a few read through to completely grasp that whole meaning in this issue. We get to see Manteau save Nelson and introduce him ...

****BROAD OVERVIEW, MINOR SPOILERS****I have mixed feelings about this title. When I read the interviews about it online, I was actually excited, because it hinted at some characters returning from the Chris & Vicki run of Dial H For Hero, back in the 1980's. Now that it's here though, it's...weird. Those characters are here, and that's great, but the rest...I don't know. Maybe I just don't like the main character that much. The title of this issue, and the sense of strange wonderment and oddness along with the character designs, gives it a certain Doom Patrol feel while still being quite original. The words “come here, I need you” were also featured in Grant Morrison’s Doom Patrol run in regards to another monstrous entity connected to the telephone system.
