This concept appears in the comic book One Piece, which tells of the adventure of Monkey D. Luffy, the pirate captain, and his ship Going Merry (later replaced by Thousand Sunny), and his crews of Straw Hat Pirates. This manga is created by Eiichiro Oda. The current rooster of Straw Hat Pirate consists of Nami (the navigator), Raronoa Zoro (the tri-sword wielding fighter), Sanji (the martial artist cook), Usopp (the mechanic genius), Nico Robin (another navigator with superhuman abilities), Tony Tony Chopper (an anthromorphic deer), Brook (the cane sword wielding animated skeleton), and Franky (the cyborg carpenter).

The devil fruit are powerful items that when there eaten they bestow its powers on the person but it comes at a price. The eater of the fruit can never swim again. There is an infinite amount of devil fruit but they can be broken into three group’s zoan elemental and transformation. A person can only eat one devil fruit if they eat more they die here is a list of known devil fruits and there holders

• Chaser = plum plum fruit

• Ace = flair flair fruit (makes him spurts fire)

• Luffy=gum gum fruit (makes him a "rubber man")

• Sir crocodile = sand sand fruit (controls sand)

• Mr.1 = dice dice fruit

• Nico robin =hana hana fruit (can summon up to five pair of hands to strangle multiple enemies)

• Buggy the clown=chop chop fruit

• Tony Tony chopper= the human fruit

• Eneru = rumble rumble fruit (controls lightning)

• Mr.3 = wax wax fruit

All these people have the power of the devil fruits.
