One of the first comics to appear with original material in it this was the only issue of Detective Dan to appear, the company that put it out, Humor Publications Co., then went out of business after publishing only three tabloid sized comics.
Dan Dunn the star however would move over to Dell, as well as being picked up by a syndicate that put him in newspapers, he also would show up in a pulp magazine (2 issues) and a radio show (57 episodes.)
Then he would disappear.
