I knew comics like static shock, O.M.A.C. and green arrow were not going to make it but how about batman detective comics? it really started on the right direction can they bring it up to batwoman level or swamp thing ?
Detective Comics
Volume »
Volume 2.
do you think detective comics could get cancelled?
I Had to pick between batman 1# and detective comics 1# , I choose detective comics only because the stories take place during batman's early adventures. I drop it after the first book, it was great but I found other comics to be better like wonder woman. I don't have much money to maintain is another reason I dropped the book
I don't think it's gonna get cancelled
It was # 8 in the charts for November, # 6 for both October and September. I am not a fan of the book besides the artwork, but cancelling a top 10 seller isn't going to happen anytime soon.Cancelling the comic that named the company is also pretty unlikely.

uhhhh...no it doesn't....all of the Batman books take place in the present
Even if the sales dropped exponentially, they wouldn't cancel the title. They'd just switch in a new creative team and boost advertising.

The only book taking place in the past is the first 5 or 6 issues of Justice League which are set 5 years ago.
They'd never cancel Detective Comics. It's DC's name-sake. They would, however, change creativity teams if one isn't working (I wouldn't mind if they kept Tony S. Daniel as an artist, but they really do need a new writer.)
Yeah I don't think they need to cancel the book. They just need a new creative team, I'm all for keep Tony Daniels as the Artist but just get a new writer in there for gods sake.
@papo: I don't think it's horrible, but it could definitely be better. I'll admit, I went into this thinking this was the Action Comics equivalent to Batman.
According to Diamond Distribution, Detective Comics #4 was the 6th most popular title of December 2011. While 'Batman' was 2nd in the list, there's absolutely no reason for DC to cancel such a popular title when it's selling incredibly well.
And as Billy Batson said... it's their flagship title. There' no reason for DC to cancel the title they're named after.
@wolverine08 says it's fantastic. So I hope not, I can't wait to get the trades.
