Now that DC has fixed Batman:The Dark Knight by having Gregg Hurwitz write it, Detective Comics will now be the weakest Batman comic. Tony Daniels' run started good, but has deteriorated into the same type of storytelling that he was doing pre-Flashpoint on Batman.
To fix this DC could easily turn Detective into a Bat-family book that focuses on the interaction between the Bat-team. A Batman-Red Robin team-up followed by a Batwoman-Question team-up followed by a GCPD story, etc. Marvel has started experimenting with team-up books again, so why doesn't DC do it in Detective?
Well we have enough focus on Batman in his other titles, I'd like something different, like focusing on ALL of Gotham and it's inhabitants, maybe some story lines can be about James Gordon, others about Bollock or the GCPD team, some about Montoya (if she's not Question) even have stories based on the villains and their lives, not saying cut Batman out of everything, but just broaden the scope a bit.

This was the concept of Batman Streets of Gotham. It was an enjoyable comic while it lased. I think that that concept could work again for Detective.
@Billy Batson: I am under the impression that Hurwitz is going to be focusing on villains in Batman:TDK. Not to the extent of the Penguin mini, but he will be developing/exploring them just as much as Batman.
do it like before? ive only read i few issues but i think i remember reading about batwomen,batman and gordon in that tittle.all of which relied on solving a murder and its how it should stay. Have it bat members/ghpd oriented with mysteries to solve. detective chimp is also good
