    Detevtive Comics #9 1

To start things off, i only got this issue because of the night of the owls. I read Batman, and i saw that this was part of the crossover and i gave it a quick read and decided to get it. Ive never bought an issue from this series so i came in with knowledge of what was going on but no idea how they would execute this. Even if it were bad, i wouldnt mind getting it because this will have some continuity with batman. now on to the reviewGood: i didnt expect we would be in the point of view of the...

I was falling behind of Detective Comics, but when it was announced as part of Night of The Owls, I had to catch back up. And yet, the idea of this series being a tie-in seriously worried me. At least The Dark Knight had the decency to focus on Red Robin instead of Batman (Even though Red Robin being the focus in DETECTIVE COMICS would make 100x more sense). I liked who it was focused on and where it takes place. I hadn't read the solicits or descriptions so I was wondering how the Talons were going to intersect with the story once it became clear i...

Comic Review -- Detective Comics #9 / Tony S. Daniel, Sandu Flore 0

Originally posted on my blog, The Comics Cove, not too long ago...I like this cover a lot. Batman is taking on three Talons and holding his own, when just a few issues ago in his self-titled series, he was having a hard time with just one. The colors and composition make for an intense, dynamic action sequence that strongly ties in with the Night of the Owls event for this issue. In this installment of the Night of the Owls, Batman has taken the fight to the Talons, specifically the ones that hav...
