    Bartholomew Fair

First off, I like how the authors took a historical fact, one that I knew nothing about until I researched it after reading this issue, and made it a part of this story.  The Batholomew Fair is and interesting twist on this story.
I like how this story of the impostor joker has woven.  I've just started with Detective Comics again with the beginning of this storyline.  I really like how it gives me the Batman I've always like... the detective.  Maybe I've been away from the Dark Knight for too long and all the Batman titles have him this way, but this is right up my alley.

I enjoyed this issue, even tho a bit of it felt like a set up.  By that I mean, a transition, setting up the conclusion.  There's nice segues from one  part of the story to another.  It's really well written and has me interested in how this will conclude.

I thought it was interesting how they showed the Jokerz sitting around an apartment jonesing for another "hit" of the juice.  Just a reminder why we don't want to do drugs.

Good issue... I would recommend going back to issue #867 and picking up this story from the beginning.

Hine and McDanil's dance hooks you in and makes you follow every little turn of the plot... and it makes even the most basic dialogue scenes that much more exciting. I really feel like I'm in Gotham City while I'm reading this, a bug on the wall for every aspect of this outlandish war between Batmen and Jokerz. Som...

The third addition to the story arc by Hine and McDaniel. The writing was pretty bland in this issue. The part that was good is that the leader of bat impostors is actually self-aware that he is nothing like batman, and there's a sense he knows the consequences of his leadership and what his followers might cause. Also Hine seems to be keen on inserting little fun references here and there. Nice cliffhanger at the end. Still there's no telling which Batman is this. It should be Dick but it doesn'...
