The GCPD's Renee Montoya takes the spotlight as a surprise delivery of flowers on her birthday leads her to a mystery and to face the last person in the world she ever expected ? much less wanted,  to see again. Plus, the present-day science-fiction series "The Jacobian" (written by Jordan B. Gorfinkel with art by Jeff Johnson and Aaron Sowd) continues as would-be killers become allies and friends become liabilities when Jacob goes to the land of Mahajaria in search of a mysterious woman's missing husband.    
 
On her 29th birthday, Renee Montoya receives a mysterious vase of flowers, with an unsigned note. Exasperated at her parents, and with Gotham in general, Gordon gives her some time off. Time that she decides to spend getting to the bottom of the mystery flowers.
