“KILLER’S ROULETTE!” Batman sets out to uncover the secret behind the suicides of three wealthy compulsive gamblers.
Batman gets caught up in a game of Russian Roulette in "Killer's Roulette!"
When Batman discovers a series of suicides, all with the same MO - its victims caught up in a game of Russian Roulette, his investigations lead him into the gambling casino's of the underworld. Taking his place at the table, it isn't long before high roller Bruce Wayne is shown to the man in charge, who suggests they engage in a game of Russian Roulette - one bullet in one gun. After the first round, Trench (the hood) turns his back to produce a "suicide" note for each of them to sign. When he turns back, it isn't Bruce he is facing, but Batman. Through several rounds, Batman tricks Trench and proves that due to a catch in the gun there was never any chance of the gambler losing his bet.
The second story features the Elongated Man as he and his wife Sue try to solve the mystery of the "Trail of the fadeaway footprints!"
Travelling through the desert, it seems that the stretchable slueth and his wife are seeing things as they come accross a scuba diver who has been shot. Heading for the nearest town they wonder why his footprints suddenly fade away. Eventually, they discover the small town is inhabited by only 3 or 4 inhabitants who have stashed a supply of radium beneath the town's reservoir. Turns out the "frogman" was going to double cross the others and because he had been exposed to the radium his footprints faded away. Needless to say EM captured the crooks.
