The Story: Batman's crusade to defend Gotham begins as he comes face to face with the Joker while an unidentified threat looms. My Thoughts:Detective Comics, another of DC's longest running series has been relaunched starting all over at issue #1. Tony Daniel relaunches Detective Comics with an Issue #1 as part of the New 52. Does this relaunch seem like it can be the start of a series that will run as long as the old one did?  THE GOOD: I really like the art. Tony Daniel does a good job at drawing. He also does a good job at writing a story because this one is fairly good. This issue Batman is after the Joker and he captures him, with some difficulty along the way. These guys don't waste time! The action starts off immediately with Joker and Batman. I think that's what I like about this issue: it sort of goes back to the good ol' days of Joker vs. Batman. This title also seems like it's going to explore the more sinister, brutal side of Gotham (and, of course, Joker). I'm definitely optimistic about this series....
