I really enjoyed this piece of comic book literature; while my judgement is admittedly clouded by the fact that I have not read too much of Batman pre-flashpoint, I have read some, and have read his Year One book. Still, I feel this comic book is a valuable treasure that will remain close to me for a long time, possibly forever.Why?When exploring the origins of heroes or characters, nothing resonates within me like the Dark Knight, Batman, and his struggle to attain what he considered perfection...

What looks to be Tony Daniels final issue of Detective Comics at least for the foreseeable future it is nice to see him where he is best at and that is doing art for the Capped Crusader with Gregg Hurwitz writing this origin story.This issue we see Bruce travel all the way to the Himalayas to learn at the hands of Shihan Matsuda.
