Denis-Pierre Filippi was born on July 19, 1972 in Bergerac. He hangs on his school record a scientific baccalaureate, and a master's degree in philosophy. His penchant for comics is a paternal heritage that he maintained from an early age by assiduously frequenting the pages of Spirou, discovering Ptiluc and later Bilal and Loisel. He also has a special affection for Schuiten, Gimenes and Tolkien. However, the first works of this young screenwriter from Bordeaux are stories for children intended for schools in the form of slideshows. In fact, if Denis-Pierre Filippi is a storyteller, he is also a storyteller and an actor since he does not hesitate to “test” his writings on young audiences: play his text in front of children to watch for their reaction. In any case, the interest for him is to "return to the obscure and ancestral origin of the tales". In 1995, during the Bordeaux book fair, he had one of his stories read to Tiburce Oger, the author of the Gorn series. From their collaboration was born in 1998 Orull, the cloud maker. In 1999, Filippi imagined a new series: A Funny Guardian Angel, designed by Sandrine Revel. Tireless, as the last volume of Orull looms, the screenwriter has created a new duo: in the company of Tatiana Domas, he paints the adventures of Téo, a traumatized child who is gradually emerging from his silence.
