Having already read the entire series, I can say that it is clear that this would serve as a far better climax than what happens in the fourth issue.  With Dejah the only survivor now against the White Apes in their own city, she is forced to turn herself from a victim into a survivor.  What is notable about this is that she does this not all at once, but bit by bit as she progresses to drag herself up, sneak around and finally take charge of a situation which she is not sure to prevail in but one in which she will at least die trying.  Dejah is generally not a very soft character anyway and this is no different here as she asserts herself, but it is interesting to note that as with anyone caught in trying circumstances that it is easy to panic.  She turns that around here, and it is worth noting that the artist and writer manage this within the second half of the issue where there is not a word spoken.  This was an unexpectedly great issue.
