The thing with Daredevil is you have to get someone who can convincingly play a blind person. Say what you will about the Daredevil movie, Ben Affleck was committed to appearing blind. Always looking up, never making eye contact or moving his eyes when they're revealed, tapping with his cane, etc. And you have to get someone who can play a lawyer, not just a superhero.

I don't know if Jensen Ackles could do those, if he could easily separate it from Dean, but I'd be interested in seeing him try.

A lot of movie actors are going to TV. Look at House of Cards's cast, McConaughey, Harrelson, DeNiro, Meg Ryan, Halle Berry, Anna Feris, Don Cheadle, Rebel Wilson, Robin Williams, Tom Mison, Karl Urban, Jonathan Rhys Meyers, Kevin Bacon, Kevin Spacey, Kerry Washington, Kat Deninnings, Ashton Kutcher, Claire Danes, Zooey Deschanel, Michael Sheen, James Spader, Charlie Sheen, etc.

I don't think guys like Armie Hammer are doing better than guys like McConaughey, Harrelson, DeNiro, or Karl Urban. If the script is tight, you can get a good actor in many cases just because the actor is more enticed by the role than other roles the actor is being offered. I mean, maybe Gosling is off the table because he wants to produce and direct more, but I could see all the other actors mentioned as possible candidates--even Gyllenhaal, who has been doing smaller films recently.

I like Captain13's choices but I'd like to add that there are many great actors that can play Luke Cage that I would be more than happy to have.
