    What I dont get is ...

    If some mutants such as Sage are/were able to jump-start latent mutant powers ... Then why didn't they do so ... At least then it would boost the mutant numbers ?

    The depowered mutants no longer have a latent gene to jumpstart.

    But I meant in latent mutants ? ... Do they not have an X-Gene anymore either ?

    I suppose there could be some latents who slipped through the spell, but there is no way of finding them (ever since they nerfed poor Forge). Besides, Sage is with the Exiles, yes?

    Yeah but let's face it ... Marvel's main way of getting characters is to bring them back from death and to transport them in from alternate dimensions/timelines lol
