What do you think was the most heroic comic book death?  The one's I can think of from my head are Colossus' death during the Legacy virus arc since he sacrificed his life to save all mutantkind and then Jean Grey's second death in the Dark Phoenix Saga as she killed herself to save the universe from her dark phoenix powers.

I was moved by Supergirl going down in blaze of glory battling the Anti-Monitor and saving Superman in "Crisis on Infinite Earths" #7.

To me, this was the most heroic comic death.

Superman fighting to death with Doomsday to keep not only Metropolis safe, but the entire world. Barry Allen saving the multiverse is just as heroic.

Honorable mention is Ultimate Peter Parker fighting with while still suffering from a bullet wound to keep his friends and neighbours safe from Green Goblin.

my personal favourites are nightcrawler saving hope, simply because he didnt even think about it. there was no dramatic slowing down of time, just without thinking, teleporting in front of her. also colossusving the mutant race and ultimate spider man
