Deathstroke #4
Art - This book has good art...
Story - ... however this book has bad story. 5 pages that doesn't progress the story and is really confusing because it's nowhere close to how the previous issue ended nor does it play into the overall issue. And then we get the rest of the comic to get us to where we should easily be at in the first 5 pages. While doing that the series destroys more of the pre-52 canon and tells us something about the Blackhawks that if you've followed the previous issues of the blackhawks doesn't seem to actually be the case. There are also several points where the dialog is just bad in every sense.
Characterization - This series is the epitome of trying too hard at trying to tell us something about a character. Every action screams "look at me I'm a bad ass," but that's the thing. When you scream out something over and over and have to convince others in the most over the top way that you are something... you aren't.
Recommendation - Unfortunately for me there are worse books out this week, but this is pretty bad. I'd say bottom 10 of the new 52. You shouldn't buy this, but at this point everyone who is going to buy this already has committed to it so meh.
