fedspaz's Deathlok #2 - The Souls of the Cyber-Folk (Part One):Caught in the Cybernet review

    Cybernet

Misty Knight and Forge are in a junkyard and cornered by a Capturebot.  The Capturebots are trying to capture cyborgs.  Now, what they are doing with them is what Misty Knight gets Deathlok to help her with.
One thing I have to say right off... that is a pet peeve of mine... on the cover they mention how Forge is a guest-star in this issue.  Well, he shows up on literally 3 pages.  Now, is that really a guest-star or is that false advertising?  Now to me, Misty should have gotten guest-star billing.  Ok, I'm digressing and this is probably neither her nor there.
Ok, once again I like this issue.  I'm getting to like this character called Deathlok.  Now I wish I had more issue and could keep on reading.  I would like that.  But alas, I'm done and need to go searching for issue three now.
Deathlok is back talking to his computer self/half whatever it is, and some of the interaction made me smile.  Not laugh, but got a smile out of me.  It's entertaining, reminds me of some sitcom or something.  Like the Odd Couple almost, how they just kinda push each others buttons.
I did kinda miss the letter writing to his wife in this one.  I was interested in what he might have to say to her about what's happening to him.
There is action in this one with Misty and Deathlok fighting the Capturebots.  It's good and fits the story well.
I must say, the ending really did suprise me, the villian that pops up at the end is one of my favorites and makes me want to find the next issue even more.
I'm going to give this issue the thumbs up.
