Death Vigil #1

So when I decided to make my next review it had to be something weird and something good and I did.I found it in the first issue of Stjepan Šejić's Death Vigil form Image Comics which he both drew and wrote.

So what is Death Vigil you ask ?Well it's a book about a group of "Gifted" people who are recruited by The Reaper herself to stop the Primordial Enemy from achieving there goals. This group goes by the name The Death Vigil which are a group of Death Knights which lead by the Reaper or Bernie as some people in the story calls her.

Now then the story is a introduce to the world of Death Vigil by showing some characters both good and bad .Each character of this story is engaging from Sam to Berine which each have there own look other then the white hair which all Death Knight seem to get. Berine also know as the Reaper is in my opinion the most interesting character in the whole series with her leading this team both as Leader of a group and in some ways a teacher.

When it comes to writing Stjepan is pretty good at it.He writes a good story from start to finish by character work and cool concepts.I mean the story itself leaves off with a cliffhanger with me wanting more of it which is a good sign of a series.

Now the art, the art is awesome here it's really unique and well done.I mean the look of not only the characters but the monster also the character expression are top notch .I mean each monster is really cool looking by giving it certain eldritch feel to them.

Overall this is a great start of a series and guess what it's 40 pages of great art and great story telling and for 3.99 too.I highly recommend this for people who want a good contemporary fantasy comicbook series.I will start to review this series so keep your eyes open folks and have a nice day.
