I know that there are a lot of people out there that don't like him, I also know that there is a lot of people (including me) who like him. What makes you like/unlike him, I like him because of his comedy and violence which goes along nicely. And one more note please respect other peoples opinions I don't want two people yelling at each other back and forth that is just annoying. So go ahead you guys have the floor or stage or whatever.

Deadpool rocks. The humor/violence/craziness/4th wall breaking/pop-culture references/ninja weaponry/dual blades/FIREARMS!!/awesomeness is just..... awesome.
 
I think the reason a lot of people don't like him is because a lot of his fanboys are annoying [which to me, makes no sense at all], but hey, to each their own.
 
[Another reason people might not like him is because he's not a serious character, but that's what's great about him :D]

Deadpool is probably my all-time favorite character, which is saying a lot.
 
The run by Joe Kelly and Ed McGuinnes sealed the deal, as everything from plot, characters, dialogue, and of course the art was just superb and fantastic, a true breath of awesomeness in an otherwise pretty damn horrible era for comic books. 
 
I can relate to that version of the character in that he was basically born and bred to be a horrible person, with all these terrible, tragic things happening to him, but Wade typically just laughs at his problems and, during that run at least, was honestly doing whatever he could to do the right thing. With DP's twisted mind, those good things often went south really fast, but the point was he was trying. Add to this the dynamic of Wade's crush on Siryn boiling-over, but then Typhoid Mary enters his life and screws it all up, royally. Without getting too personal, I can REALLY relate to that entire run on a very deep level. The character spoke to me, often times literally thanks to the 4th wall-breaking, and even if there weren't any Deadpool stories published ever again after that run, he'd still be at the top of my list. 
 
People hate him for the same reasons people hate Wolverine and anything else popular: It's the cool thing to do when you're not one of the "cool people". In most cases, anyway. I'm sure there are those that genuinely hate the character for whatever reason, probably as has been said because he's not a "serious" character and I'm sure is an abomination to some purisits for being a Liefeld creation alone, but that's not the point of the character. The point of Deadpool is to show you how to have FUN with your comics, and to laugh at those that take something that began life as "Funny Books" too damn seriously.

DP is great because it doesn't take itself seriously, except on Cable & Deadpool. That book was awesome. DP is just good whacky superhero fun.

Deadpool is one of the greatest comic book characters of all time in my opinion. his funny, a master of guns, swords, kung fu and anything that is dangerous, got a cool costume, talks in yellow, has a split personally and knows his a comic book character.

I do love Deadpool.  After getting tired of the some old comics, Deadpool came along and punched me in the gut.  In a good way.  Whatever.  
 
I love his backstory. I love his attitude. I love his humor.  I try not to rant about him too much, and I do except his flaws, but the fact remains that Deadpool is my favorite superhero of all time.

I'm a big Deadpool fan. His character conflictions make him so interesting.

People hating other people for loving the same things they do is friggin' MIND-BOGGLING, especially when THEY don't even know why they do it. I understand this is the IntardWebz and this is sorta the point of it all, but being an Elitist about a medium that is and forever will be considered one of the more "nerdy" things to be obsessed about just makes you an Elitist Nerd. Let's not go alienating EVERYONE around you, shall we?

Deadpool's probably been my favourite character for about 12 years now. Even when I was younger and didn't really get the humour, I still just loved the mentally challenged merc.

I love Deadpool because every time I read an issue I have a really good time. He is one of the funniest characters of all time.

I know, probably the freshest vid I found on the New Rob. Cable & Deadpool can have stories for years w/ and/or w/out eachother. Appreciate your time catman.

I like Deadpool, but I think he's overexposed.
 
I mean come on he was in an X-Men movie before Apocoylpse or Mr. Sinister. Heck he was in a movie before a real Sentinal (I don't count the Danger Room one. Which begs the question they were never even brought up so how were they fighting one in the Danger Room?)

I don't like Deadpool . But his "Merc with mouth " limited series are good ( just because of that hot doctor ) .

I don't like him generally because he's overrated and his fans exaggerate the reason why when it's obvious Deadpool piggybacked off of other characters to be put in the position he's in now.Also his book brings down the personality of all the characters that cameo.Nobody is ever written in character in a Deadpool book.Their mannerisms are exaggerated.Lastly,he's not very funny.The things he does are funnier than the things he says yet,he never STFU.
