I really enjoy Deadpool's humor (especially in Deadpool vs. the Marvel Universe) and I would like to know what would be the best stuff to read. A couple of things...
    (1) I don't like it when a character gets their own book just to capitalize on sales, since this usually affects the quality of the writing.
    (2) I don't like zombies.
    (3) Deadpool should be funny because he is funny. Not because the writers are trying to convince me that he is funny. It shouldn't feel forced or overdone.
    (4) I don't like it when he is gross (sexually).
(I like buying comics in trade paperbacks, rather than the individuals issues.)

Any help would be much appreciated.

Anything written by Joe Kelly, Gail Simone, Rick Remender and Duane Swierczynski.

If you're looking for trade paperback I suggest...

    Deadpool Classic #1-4
    Wade Wilson's War
Deadpool and Cable Ultimate Collection #1-3

Go Buy any of the Deadpool classics paperbacks.

    But my all time favorite Deadpool run/story ark is the Gail Simone stuff (Even tho it was short), Great Writing, Great Supporting Cast, Taskmaster and Awesome Udon Art. Sadly this is not been printed into paperback yet so you gotta wait. ;-;

As always anything with Joe Kelly on it is a safe bet.

Also Cable & Deadpool has some great moments, i think thos are all in paperback now....i think =)

The early Kelly stuff for sure. Personally I wasn't a fan of the UDON era, because that's when the writing seemed to be "funny for the sake of being funny" (and I just hate UDON art in geeral), but other people seem to like it so you might..

Wow, thanks for all the great responses. It seems that Joe Kelly is the popular choice. I'll definitely check that out. Eager to go to the comic shop...

Cable & Deadpool was an awesome series, it was funny, fun, and did i mention funny?

Deadpool (2008) That had some good issues, but beware there is a story act that has zombies in it. But the ones with the X-Men in it were really good in my opinion.

Deadpool's first two solo limited series where really good too.

I would not recommend Deadpool: Merc with a Mouth.

@Miss Marvel: Way's Deadpool was more of the 'Funny and silly and nonsensical and complete trash' style of Deadpool.

MWAM at least had the 'classic' Deadpool humor, even if the story did drag on and on.

You lost me at "I don't like zombies"... I mean, do you have a reason?
