I heard they were making a deadpool movie, then I heard they weren't, then heard they were again. SO currently what's the word on the deadpool movie? Did they dump it or are they still working on it or something. Dr. strange is cool, but ant-man(hank "wife beater" pym) gets a movie before deadpool that's just crazy...

X-Men Origins really set Deadpool back a few years in the movie biz.

Deadpool is just too real a character for the poor downtrodden rock bangers that watch movies nowadays. We can only hope...

Blame Fox. After Wolverine Origins I don't want them to even attempt a Deadpool movie. If Marvel got the rights back then we'll talk. Still looking forward to the DP video game however and hope that it's good.

Here's a video explaining my opinion on the state of the Deadpool movie.

Beware though, there's a lot of language. Lots of F-bombs, lot's of sheets, lots of swearing. So If you're not comfortable with that kind of stuff don't watch it.

Heck yeah! There were strong rumors that a Deadpool movie was in the works right after X-Men Origins but there has been little to no updates regarding the process recently.

More likely than not, they were counting on X-Men Origins to get the hype up for a Deadpool movie. Kind of like how the hype for Hulk from Avengers is getting him HIS own movie. Unfortunately, they ****ed up the character so incredibly bad in that, that anybody who actually liked the character and wanted to see a movie with him lost any interest in a continuation of this character they'd built up.

So that set them back sufficiently that a Deadpool movie is probably not going to happen any time soon.

@spiderpool94: Marvel do! I believe Fox have the rights to The X-Men and The Fantastic Four, Sony have the rights to Spider-Man and I think Marvel recently got back the rights to Daredevil.

@chem86: Hank accidentally back handed his wife 1 time around 30 or 40 years ago while in the middle of a nervous break down, why can't people let that go. Deadpool has beaten the hell out of women intentionally, Reed Richards treats his wife like garbage, Hawkeye actually got mad at his wife for taking out a guy who raped her, Batman can't even seem to have an actual relationship with a woman if they haven't beat the s**t out of each other at least once, There are 10,000 infinitely more abusive relationships in comics so can 1 damned person give me a reasonable explanation for why Hank has to be the poster boy?

A Deadpool film done properly is just what Thr superhero film franchise needs right now after the gritty down to earthness of the Nolan Batman trilogy

i agree i really don't want to wait for a movie, but id rather wait for marvel to get it back before letting fox have a go and destroying a franchise.

it does seem to be their trait.
