Q: Does Ryan doing Green Lantern help Deadpool? Lauren Shuler Donner: Oh, yeah, sure. It’s very different. It’s like Harrison Ford doing Star Wars and Indiana Jones. DC and Marvel are different universes with different movies. But sure, the more popular and well known he is the better. Take that Deadpoolandfriend, you going insane and all the people that was going insane for a bad rumors.
@DeathpooltheT1000: It's really not a good comparison by Shuler Donner there. Because both Star Wars and Indiana Jones are Lucas Arts films. They are not films of rival companies.
I think this Reynolds Deadpool/GL business is like when Bruce Willis was attached to the Die Hard franchise but was still doing films in the same genre playing practically the same character like in Hudson Hawk, Last Boy Scout etc. There was no problem with Willis doing those roles... so there shouldn't be any problem with Reynolds doing these roles. Especially considering they are TOTALLY different characters.
I still maintain that WB/DC are just trying to get one over on Fox/Marvel. This "protecting their investment" stuff is a load of bollox. There is nothing to protect their investment from.
@the ace of knaves: Is actually the best for Marvel and DC, since most of marvel fans know Dc and Dc fans know Marvel, the actors become famous and for the same they could use them in other projects, i mean Hally Berry did Catwoman late was back and made Storm one more time. The idea is that Star Wars is Fox and Indiana Jones i think is WB.
