Corps was lame. But Team-Up was okay, but I see where it's cancellation was necessary. Stock in Deadpool is plummeting.

I see no reason in getting excited over having less comics.

If you don't like it, don't read it, no reason to disrespect others.

I think its about time the marvel starts cutting down its titles to the bare essentials.

Probably less an issue with quality, more an issue with quantity.  Gives me hope that Marvel listens when fans speak.  I think more or less everyone agreed 'We like him but there's way too much Deadpool' for a few months.

too much that is a ludicrous assumption
that's like saying there is too much Batman or Superman

@hydrabob:  In my defence I thought there'd be a stronger market to sustain bigger characters like Batman or Superman.  It's only the impression I get from people I talk to but it seems Deadpool's a cool character that's nice to dip into now and again.  I think he's thriving in Uncanny X-Force at the moment but I don't know if he warrants so many comics.  I know where you're coming from though.  But because he's such a unique character I get the impression it's difficult for writers to create a lot of variation.

@.o0Johnny0o.:  yeah maybe we will see more quality Deadpool now

There needs to be a trim.  It's getting out of hand.

out really doubt it is getting out of "hand" for someone as crazy as Deadpool
I think they should keep these two bring back Cable & Deadpool (once Cable stops playing Dead)
then throw deapool on the main X-Men team

Then after Hell has long frozen over i'm going to have a pop sickle

This, only not just applied to Deadpool, but the whole of Marvel.

These cancellations should just be the beginning. A solo character does not need more than one series dedicated to them. I got incredibly annoyed when Marvel brought out Web of Spider-man alongside Amazing Spider-man, because the whole point of being tri-monthly was to avoid the need for three ongoing Spider-man books, and I couldn't afford another Spidey book. It's fine for the kids whose parents pay for the comics, but to your average fan it's unfair to have this many different series for their favourite character.

Unfortunately, with Marvel announcing 5 Ronin, ANOTHER Wolverine series, my hopes aren't too high that this is a sign of things to come.

There's still enough deadpool for everyone of us and marvel can concentrate on other characters like dr. strange.

#25 Posted by Trodorne (2306 posts) - 2 years, 4 months ago - Show Bio

Like some of these characters should not be getting a series by themselves. Right now the way i see it. we should only have for Titles in Marvel. Captain America, Amazing Spider-Man, The Avengers, Hulk (red hulk not the incredible hulk), Thunderbolts, Daredevil /Black Panther, Chaos Wars, Thor, Deadpool, Uncanny X-men, X-force,Avengers Academy, Young Avengers and the Ultimate Titles.

Reason being is when you have so many titles based on characters who are just meant to show up you end up losing ideas for stories. keep the titles short and have characters make appearances. treat every issue like it was a cartoon, and have it very episodic or like an episode where the problem can be solved with in that time, but still have an underlying layer of a main plot line. yes so many fans will be dissapointed that their favorite character won't have a series. but in the end keep the comics simple yet fun and we can have more readers. maybe if we get enough new readers that follow the series. there might be a bigger demand for paper that those buggers at the paper company will lower their costs and in turn would lower the cost of comics.

deadpool team up is good but corps just blew

#27 Posted by Foolkiller (167 posts) - 2 years, 4 months ago - Show Bio

corps was always meant to be a 12 issue series,  but i like team-up.

#28 Posted by Abnormally Warm Guy (1297 posts) - 2 years, 4 months ago - Show Bio
@Foolkiller: They didn't tell US it was going to be a limited series. It was advertised as "a new ongoing". THough we all knew this was going to happen. I mean the same thing happened with MWMA. I just wish they did WHAT WAS ORIGINALLY ANNOUNCED and just had corps be a story arc or two in MWAM.... you know... the thing that makes sense.

well at least there is coming 5 ronin deadpool, and guess what? i dont think that they are going to cancel deadpool team-up, i think that thery are just renaming it to deadpool familiy:

The book should have never been made.

#31 Posted by CyrixSG (26 posts) - 2 years, 4 months ago - Show Bio

I enjoyed Corps, hated the newer Team-Up (starting at about The Thing forward), but the core series and Max are still going (Max isn't that great in my opinion either) but we also have Uncanny X-Force so that's 3 books a month that Deadpool is in.  I'd call that a solid win for Deadpool fans.

I believe that Deadpool Family is supposed to be a one-shot. Not an ongoing series.
And yes, I'm actually not sad to see both series go.  I'm hoping for a Deadpool book of better quality. But anyway as CyrixSG said: there still is the core Deadpool book ( which could be better, but is definably enjoyable to me ), Deadpool MAX ( which I honestly don't care for ) and his awesome role in Uncanny X-Force ( which is a must-read ! ). He'll also appear in the 5 Ronin mini-series ( which I doubt 'll be interesting ). So it's not like there 'll be a lack of Deadpool comics. Plus lets be honest, we all know that Marvel 'll come up with another new Deadpool book to try and regain readers.

Does you belive they are gone forever?
Marvel will restart them after the Premier of Deadpool The Movie in the year 2099.

None of the new deadpool comics have seemed to live up to Cable and deadpool or deadpool classic maybe having a single deadpool series will increase the quality of our deadpool :D

It's okay. Deadpool has reached the bigtime now as a member of X-Force. They should get rid of all his useless titles.

They should team Deadpool up with Taskmaster for an ongoing series. That would sell like hot cakes!
