Marvel's announced that Deadpool #16 has sold out at Diamond (copies might still be available at your local comic shop). A second printing variant will be released on November 25, 2009.

Daniel Way and Paco Medina keep the laughs coming as Deadpool is cordially invited to join...the X-Men? That makes as much sense as a "swimming pool full of pancakes." How does Deadpool respond to Cyclops invitation? Pick up the issue to find out (if you haven't already).

The second printing will feature Medina's interior art on the cover. If you're following the series, keep in mind that every single issue has sold out.

This book has been consistently good since it's launch, I like Daniel Way's take on DP quite a bit, even the much griped about T-Bolts arc was good to me, how can you not enjoy DP teleporting in behind Norman Osborn while he's on TV holding a sign that says "LOL Respawn" after Norman thought he was toast?

Not to mention Paco Medina is absolutely fantastic on this book, he was born to draw Deadpool.

Back to this issue, these last couple have been more serious fare as DP has been examining his own motivations and his purpose in life, but it's been a fun experience to not see DP wise cracking every panel, although there's still plenty of that. Not to mention seeing the various members of the X-Men reacting to him wanting to join up.

And yes, the pancakes were awesome too.

I LOVED where Cyclops and Wolverine look at each other after Dagger asks "What's wrong with the guy?" and they just turn around and both say "EVERYTHING." XD XD

And who DOESN'T love the smell of over 300,000 pancakes in the morning? (I can't remember the exact number. lol)

@aztek the lost: But who wants to get stuck with extra copies? I'm sure most comic shops don't. I imagine they order their set amount for the regular customers plus some extra for those that come in "off the streets." What I think keeps happening is more people are picking it up each month. Deadpool's fame is getting bigger and bigger these days.

What's with all the pancakes? Is Deadpool trying to lure out Hellboy?

Really, Cyclops isn't in a good position. You either give Deadpool something to do, or turn him away. Neither is the best choice. Sort of like what Murdock is currently facing. Just not as funny.

@aztek the lost: I think the fact that each issue is selling out despite the logical conclusion that store owners are upping their orders shows it's never too late to be a Deadpool fanboy. If you join, you might be able to still get some pancakes.
