    Deadpool has a ton of money now so what's he going to do?  He's going to become a pirate!  That's the logical choice.  Not only do we have Deadpool as a pirate but we also have Bob, Agent of Hydra as...well, you'll have to read the issue and see for yourself.
     
     
     
    What did you think?  Do you like this new direction?  Would you like to see more pirate adventures with Deadpool?  Do you think this new female character will stick around?  Do you want to see more of Bob's mom (even though I think we've already seen too much of her)?

    This isn't loading for me. Not sure why. I tested other videos on this site and they worked fine. This just keeps flashing "loading...".

    Fun review. It was worth the wait to see. lol
    I never take Deadpool comics too seriously and worry about how they effect the Continuity of the series. That's part of the fun of reading them.
     
    Seeing the pirate theme. I just have to share this with everyone. This always comes to mind when I think of pirates.

    I enjoyed it.  It was good to see Bob back.  I was a big fan of the Bob story lines back in Cable and Deadpool.  I really enjoy Daniel Way's writing.  I'm not a big fan of Shawn Crystal's art, however.  I'm sad to see Paco Medina go.  He's art was top notch and I often pinched a lot of his work to use in my fan series.

    @SUPER-MAN 23: I agree but the artist probably wanted to move onto another book.  That's usually what happens.  No editor wants to lose the super slick talent that makes the books shine.

    I thought the book was allot of fun, there were so many funny one liners thrown out in this issue I don't think I was able to turn a page without laughing at something that was going on.

    Nearly killed me. 
     
    Shawn Crystal's art was solid but it's pretty hard to follow someone like Paco Medina, who was able to capture Deadpool so well. 
     
    Next issue looks like the pace will pick up, but I thought this was a solid start to this new story arc, plus Bob's back, HAIL HYDRA!!!

    Thanks! Not everyone seems to dig them.  I had fun doing Bob's mom's voice.  I'm hoping she pops up again or I find another place to use it.

    Oh thank Thor, the book just wasn't the same without him this week, still a riot, but just didn't feel right.  Pretty sure this arc is only three issues again, so, one down two to go, plus the solicts for the next arc look AWESOME...

    I will agree that Paco Medina's art work does fit better overall, but we've only seen one issue without him.  But Way's sense of timing and pace on this issue just wasn't the same.  Perhaps he's building so that the next couple of issues will really bring out the big guns.  But this one was definitely the weakest of Volume 2 thus far.

    I liked this story, overall, I really did, but I had a few problems with it.   
     
    First though, some of the things I really liked about this particualr book. Bob Agent of Hydra is my favorite supporting character in ANY Marvel book, he's the best thing since Squirrel Girl. :P 
    I wonder though...is everyone so sure that was his mom? He is married after all, so why would he be living with his mom? 
    Bob has said he has problems with his marriage, and if that was his wife, then I think we can all understand why, and why he was so eager to join Hydra in the first place, and so eager to join Deadpool in his pirate adventuer, even though he KNEW FULL WELL he'd be DP's whipping boy as always. 
    Just throwing that out there. 
     
    I loved the idea of Deadpool wanting to be a pirate, it's just so in keeping with his personality. 
     
    What I hated, and I hate each and every single time the writers do this to Ddeadpool, is when they make him incredibly stupid. 
     Oh sure Deadpool DOES stupid things! But that is entirely different from him actually being a complete and total, stupid idiot. 
     
    To have him buy a nuclear sub, and not realise that was what he bought? REALLY??? A Well trained mercenary doesn't know what a submarine looks like? 
    LAME! 
    I guess having him not understand even the simplest of economics seems a tad much to me as well, and him leaving the boaat he buys, unguarded like some complete amatuer also seems pretty unrealistically stupid to me, but for the sake of comedy I guess I'll go with it.   
     
    It just irritates me when rather than having Deadpool DO stupid things, tehy actually turn him into some complete moron. 
    He's insane, in a scary way, and he does some very dumb things because of it, but he's not stupid. He's actually quite clever, and quite a competent Merc. It would be pretty difficult for a true moron, to do what DP does for a living, and be any good at it. 
     
    I hope that the writers of Deadpool, start realizing that ruining the character for cheap laughs is NOT going to get people to keep buying the book.
