Issue #1 had about one good joke. The whole "oh shit" in Skrullese joke was good, and I love how it kept popping up. Unfortunatally, that was about the only good joke in the whole issue.
This time, we have less mindless action and more hilarious goodness, which in my opinion, makes this issue superior. The whole "Now speak into the translator" joke was hilarious and the "Resist following a stupid request" joke was great too. Deadpool sure made me laugh. Fortunatally, this issue doesn't have as much of that crazy inner monologe. I hate that inner monologe. It isn't funny.
Anyway, this is a great issue and the art rocks. I love when he shakes the professor's hand "Muahahaha!!" and then the skrul says, "Excuse me?" that was EXCELENT! Pure comedy gold.
Art - 9/10
Story - 8.5/10
Great issue. Keep comming!

The first issue was kind of boring, but still good. This issue blew me out of the water. We got to learn about Deadpool's tragic past with his father, about his Weapon X days and his "hate" for humanity. One more issue until this arc ends and the real good stuff begins, but I can live with this for now.
This issue made me laugh plenty of times, especially when he was "training" the new Super Skrulls. He outsmarted a Skrull scientist, and managed to have the new Skrull versions of himself do the dirty work for him and take down the Skrull Warship. The series is going at a very nice pace and I'm stoked for issue #3

It seems like a lot of people liked the first issue. It even won me over. We were left a little surprised at Deadpool's willingness to help the Skrulls invade Earth. But then, since he's a little off in the head, it wasn't too much of a surprise. The question is, what will he do next. Another question is, are the Skrulls pulling one over on Deadpool or is it the other way around?
One of Deadpool's strongest assets is that he is unpredictable. That's what can help sell this comic. We do get a brief re-cap of his origin in the first few pages. I have to say I'm glad Daniel Way didn't go the cliche route and have it take up space in the first issue. From the cover we get the impression that the Skrulls will use Deadpool's strengths as a killing machine to further their invasion. That in itself is a scary thought. An army of Deadpools. Who could lead such an army? I'll let you take a guess.
I enjoyed seeing Deadpool in his new role. But how does this comic stack up? Will this Secret Invasion tie-in change the outcome of the war? Probably not. It's not essential reading as far as the main story goes but as far as being entertaining, it's pretty much a must have. Daniel Way continues to capture the essence of Deadpool's character. Paco Medina's art captures the mayhem perfectly. He has the right amount of detail mixed with the hilarity of Deadpool's world.
This volume is off to a good start. Again it's not essential reading but it was highly entertaining and that's what a comic should be. I had fun. I'm going to up my rating a bit from last month and give this issue a 4.5 out of 5.

DEADPOOL!
I, for one, am glad he's back. And with a bang too. I was very pleased with the first issue. A little confused at the end, I think the term WTF!! comes to mind. The first issue was a little slow. The second issue, however, was a lot more of the Deadpool goodness I love. It was senseless violence, supidity, madness, confusion and of course hilarity. It was great. It really was. And to top it all off, it comes with a moral: Do Not Clone Deadpool. Do Not Let Deadpool "Train" Your Clones. What Are You Stupid? Oh yeah, skrulls are, aren't they.
And once again there was a WTF ending for me. Can't leave that out...

It takes a lot to actually get me to laugh. Even moreso to get me to laugh out loud when I'm reading a book. However, the past two issues Danial Way has done it. The character of Deadpool is almost in his own little universe, surrounded by our universe. all these very serious characters surround him, but he's having a joke-a-thon at their expense. Normally, I would hate something like this, where the main character is so out-of-place. Out-of-place, in this context, being the very dreary angry world, with one cartoonesque character running the show. the story can almost be throw-away to me, although it's not in this case, as long as Deadpool is being completely ridiculous from page-to-page. Again, this barely lost the pick of the week spot, but overall it has been amazing.

So, Deadpool goes over to the Skrull side. May God have mercy on them. This issue is fun and funny, and having Deadpool teach a bunch of Skrulls to be crazy is just inspiring. The Skrulls are shown that you can not predict everything ( or one ) and that some Earth creatures should not be duplicated.
Definitely a cool issue to the Skrull Invasion, and I can not wait to see what happens next.

I liked the first issue, and after that surprise ending I just couldn't help but pick this issue up. I found this issue just a little bit more better then the last one. The series has a story now, and its actually quite interesting. We have some more gags and less action with this book, but its all important in understanding what Deadpool is trying to do to help the skrulls.
The story wasn't in the slightest predictable, everytime I thought something would happen, something else completely different happened, and I found that fun.
Everything works... with this series so far, its a comic book that doesn't want to take itself seriously, it's ment to tell a good action story with a bit of humor, this new Deadpool series is the Micheal Bay of comic books.
