“DEAD LOSS.” Deadman is summoned to an abandoned warehouse just in time to observe the torture of Jason Todd-the second Robin-at the hands of The Joker! Deadman tries to intervene, but the fate of Robin’s life is preordained. The fate of his afterlife, however, is another issue entirely.
In the midst of battle with Deadman, Darius Caldera disappears with the Flash's spirit. Hal Jordan as The Spectre sends Deadman on another mission. This time, Deadman witnesses the death of Robin aka Jason Todd. As Deadman is escorting Todd's spirit to the bright light, Todd's spirit is captured by Darius Caldera.
