    Halloween: The Sequel

Unlike the previous Halloween special, which was narrated by supervillains, this one was narrated by Ralph and Sue Dibny, the currently deceased ghost detectives.

*The Ballad of Jonathan Crane: Written by Mikey Way and illustrated by Mateus, it's an almost Elseworlds-esque tale which combines the Legend of Sleepy Hollow with the Batman mythos. As always, the Scarecrow fills the role of Ichabod Crane, but keeps his regular name. However, while some might feel some sympathy for Ichabod in the regular story, Crane has no sympathy going for him, as he is still the same conceited, cowardly freak, but not an overt supervillain. Katrina Van Tassel and Brom Bones appear, but there are versions of the regular Gotham cast appearing. Two-Face, the Joker, the Penguin, and Poison Ivy all appear as party goers. The Ventriloquist is a performer. Bruce Wayne appears as somebody who gets a ring fleeced by Crane at the party, which is then fleeced from him by a Catwoman-esque party goer. Crane is then dispatched by a Headless Horseman, or better yet, Headless Batman, pardon the pun. But it turns out the story has been a hallucination brought on by overexposure to his fear gas. The highlight of this story is the art and the designs of the well known members of Gotham's villainous elite.
*Role Model: Written by Eric Wallace and illustrated by Tony Shasteen. Vixen is taking the night off to enjoy a showing of a Honey Williams movie "Scream Baby Scream". Honey Williams was a star in the same vein as Pam Grier, a blaxploitation heroine who Vixen knew of when she was a little girl, during a time when there were few strong black, female role models. However, the creatures on screen suddenly start coming out, and Vixen has to defend the few, few, VERY few movie goers (specifically a man and his daughter). As Vixen's fighting them, she actually gets to meet Honey, who tells her to head for the source. The projector. As the man defends his daughter, Vixen shuts off the movie projector and deals with the ACTUAL source of the problem. Mirror Master, looking for a stash of cash hidden in the theatre. While Vixen misses the chance to meet her hero, she serves as one to the little girl in the theatre.

The reason why I chose to specifically feature Role Model is because, alongside the Power of Shazam one-shot, this has to be one of the better written features by Eric Wallace when compared to the continuing string of bullets to the head known as "Titans". That's being too polite, actually.

Some of the stories were goods, other were lackluster, and the one about Sebastian Faust was downright confusing no matter how many times I re-read it (although kudos for using a C-List character).
