    So... What Did Deadman Do While He Was a Stripper? 0

    Kicking off with a the beginning of a Deadman story, DC Universe Presents impresses with its reboot of DC's leading ghost. Paul Jenkins and Bernard Chang reintroduce readers to Boston Brand as a man not terribly likable in life but very sympathetic in death.I'm coming into this as a reader who has basically hated everything Jenkins has written for the past several years.     The many lives Deadman has lived. 0

    WOW this is a text heavy issue.  I don't think I read as much words in any of the 52 until now.  Heck if you add all the comics with the controversial "Sex appeal" together I still don't think they would have as much words.  But this book sold sex as well with a stripper, but that is not the point, there is a lot to read, just to warn you guys.  All the text a side the visual narration was strong, the transitions made sense and the body language conveyed what I felt was the right emotions, which...

    Too Much 'Deadman', Not Enough 'DC Universe Presents.' 0

    The Good: It's always good to see unappreciated characters get some spotlight. *Cough cough* HowcomeMartianManhunterdidn'tgethisownseriesandtheotherBrightestDayheadlinersdid? *Cough* Ahem. Sorry. But as I said, good to see Deadman get props. The art is really nice most of the time, and has a few really cool scenes with interesting panel layouts. If you don't know Deadman by the time you finish this issue, you did something wrong. Is Rama new or is she just part of Deadman's history I didn't know...
