DC Universe Presents #2 - Twenty Questions, Part 2 by papo on October 19, 2011

I Really like Boston Brand I think he is an interesting character but the first issue let me many questions maybe the most important one was if I was going to continue getting it.I was not totally pleased with deadman #1 but I figured Ill give it a second chance and I guess I liked it and they had a good cliffhanger which is not a big surprise with the new 52. But I really want to know what happens next. so I will live it on my pull list a little bit longer....

The more I think that Deadman would be bad for his own title, this book seems to be saying otherwise. This book has a few nice chuckles and few cool mysteries mixed with some interesting action and an interesting ending that is predictable, but once you hear it it makes sense. I found it impressive that the author seemed to have predicted that I was asking "if he spends all his times with these when does he do the things we've always seen him do" and he gives us an answer within pages of that th...

The Good: That is an absolutely beautiful cover. The artwork is really nice. It's sort of cartoony, but with a really impressive depth of detail. Deadman's inner monologue is definitely top notch. It rides right alongside the main action without distracting or detracting from it in any way. The pacing is extremely good. Everything flows so smoothly and increases or decreases at all the right moments. This issue was A LOT more comedic and lighthearted, but it never lost the deep metaphysical focu...
