Inspired by the best-selling SOE game, the epic series continues as we see the last stand of the future JLA! Batman's survived horrific injuries and outlived all his allies to try to implement a final, desperate gambit...but is Luthor trustworthy?

Meanwhile- The Batman has been beaten by the Joker and left for dead. Lucky he is found by some Meta-Humans who take him back to their base, there their medic fixes his injures and replaces some of his limbs with Promethium. Just as he wakes up the base comes under attack by Brainiac's robots. Lucky Strongarm and Fracture, two of the newly made metahumans, escape capture with Batman. Batman directs them toward the Fortress of Solitude, where he hooks up into Superman's computer to update himself.

While he does this it is revealed that the metas that found Batman are working for Lex Luthor, and he had planned the whole thing to get into the Fortress. Once Batman invites Luthor, because he needs his computer skills to fix Rip Hunters time gate, Luthor quickly turns on everyone. He zaps Fracture and uses the Sinestro Rings to change the gate's destenation and steals the Nano Bots, leaving Batman to battle a army of Brainiac's robot on his own.

Though this was one of the most interesting issues so far, mostly because it´s penciled only by Porter and it shows some good concepts, like humans transformed by Brainiac´s exobytes (the ones that in the present/past stole the heroes powers) forming a group of resistance and most of all because of Batman (he´s as sharp as ever, now juiced by machines), unfortunately this issue was filled with holes in the narrative (big ones, like how was possible that Luthor was in two places at the same time)...
