The cover looks a little like The Brave and the Bold 28, where the Justice League fought Starro. In place of the giant intergalactic starfish - dinosaurs! Cool!
Last issue had a profile page on Superman, this issue it's Batman and a cool Batman "What's Missing" puzzle picture. There's also a cool Super Friends membership ID card.
I remember Joe Staton from his work on Green Lantern back in the day. He's still going! I think I've seen some of his work over on Scooby Doo.
There's no big name super-villain this issue, just three Star Labs scientists that accidentally unleash the pre-hisoric creatures on Metropolis. Once again, the question is how will the DC Super Friends save the day?
Here's a hint: by working together with a smile on their faces; believing in each others abilities and talents; and a pat on the back at the end of the adventure win or lose. It's a great theme, but it's being done other places without being so obvious.
Don't get me wrong, I like the DC Super Friends. Or at least, I liked them when I was younger. We called it the '70's.
