Wondering if anyone is interested in the new Dr. Fate book if so why?
DC Comics
Originally known as "National Publications", DC is a publisher of comic books featuring iconic characters and teams such as Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, the Justice League of America, and the Teen Titans, and is considered the originator of the American superhero genre. DC, along with rival Marvel Comics, is one of the "big two" American comic book publishers. DC Entertainment is a subsidiary of Warner Brothers and its parent company Warner Media.
Who will be buying the new Dr. Fate?
I will. I like DC's mystic side and since the Dark line is suffering, I'll buy it. It'll most likely have a short leash, however.

By that do you mean lifespan or as in terms of what the writers can and cannot do?
@titanbreaker re: the short leash? lol, I guess I should've clarified. I meant I'll have it on a personal short leash for my pull list. I.e. it'll have to blow me away for me to keep it on my pull list, since I just have too many comics on my pull list!
@dr_cheesesteak: Ah understood. Well I hope it does blow you (and me) away as I am really not getting much from DC now days and Dr. Fate is one of few I am anticipating. Did you read the sneak peak?
@titanbreaker yeah and I thought it was pretty interesting. I'm only reluctant b/c of Levitz. I don't think I've ever liked what I've read of his, what little I HAVE read of his. But the preview was definitely right up my alley.
Now that I think of it, it really comes down to the other new titles in June. I have about 35 titles (roughly 50/50 between DC and indies) projected on my pull list for June. I need to cut down to the low 20s by July lol. I wanna say a dozen are so are new titles post-Convergence, but a good handful on the cutting block are indies. But the new DC titles will probably be the ones competing w/ themselves the most to stay on my pull list. Possibly not, though.
Maybe. I read the preview and liked the style. Liked what I saw of him in Earth 2. Would've preferred an Earth 2 solo miniseries, with his being one of many. Hopefully DC show a few more underused characters in their own series in the near future.
I will definitely give it a look as i've always liked this character and have wanted to see some issues on him and how they represent him in a standalone.
