yeah thats a tough one cause i know most kids (boys i guess) would know who the flash is... but my mum and older family would all know the joker

I wouldn't count Robin not because he isn't his own Character but it's purely by extension. Kinda like Lois is that for Supes. I for one didn't know Nightwing was the original Robin till much later and I am betting I am not alone on that.

But seriously? I'd say Batman is going to be the one that people instantly flock to, that they instantly recognize. I think he is higher then Superman.
