Which New 52 Villain Has Been The Most Impressive?
Anyone else?
Didn't darkseid take on the entire justice league
Yep.
@jake_fury: I am going with darkseid then. Taking on flash superman and wonder woman all at once is the most impressive thing I've seen so far
Komodo has been awesome.
Nice choice for a street level type.
Helspont so far has been my most happiest surprise in the New 52. Who would have thought a villain made for a Superman rip off would make such a fun Superman villain.

I'd read more DC if Helspont was featured more.
In terms of ability or character? if it's ability then
Darkseid
Deathstroke
Sinestro
Bane
if character
Penguin
Sinestro again
Luthor
Man-Bat.
Most gotham villains were impressive, disturbingly sicker....in addition to the list: Black Manta, Deathstroke, Cheetah, First Born, H'el, Capt. Cold
I have really enjoyed what they have been doing with Scarecrow, Captain Cold, the Penguin, Prankster, Black Manta, and Despero. Joker has been interested, but with all the Joker stuff going into so many series I have been bored of the Joker. I do miss the Joker's face being attached. It looked right. I loved how New 52 made Scarecrow more of a major villain or at least I feel that they did.
yes hopefully theyll continue to have darkseid at such a supreme power level, he used to go down to just clark, but he was slapping everyone around when he fought the league. that also led to one of the best panels of the entire new 52 when arthur jams DS in the eye with his trident (tried to post the scan but it wasnt working for some reason)
black manta has been pretty sweet, and im waiting to see if richard dragon is gonna be an all out villain in green arrow
I think Ocean master made a name for himself in the throne of Atlantis storyline. Black manta has been cool as well with his ruthless attitude
Poison Ivy and Sinestro are written better in Forever Evil than DC has written any of their characters in years.
Depends on how you rate it:
- In a fight: Deathstroke... considering much of his own series pre-Leifeld was a showcase of how awesome he was at fighting.
- In planning: It's a little over the line of what I find believable, but Joker's Death of the Family plot.
- In general feats: I haven't seen anyone top Trigon's several decimated universes yet.
- With their presence alone: Going to give it to Didio's (?!?) Trigon when he squared off against the Phantom Stranger. The way he was written you had the clear impression he didn't feel threatened by PS (who did feel threatened) or by God.
- Best new creation: The First Born, he is simply everything Wonder Woman is not, if he survives Azzarello's run remains to be seen.
@outside_85: i personally think he'll survive, its of course possible he wont but i recall reading an interview azz gave talking about how diana has always lacked a definitive arch enemy and thats what he was trying to make first born. i didnt really like him at first but after what apollo did to him for like 3 issues ive come around.
i wonder if he'll stay the way he is with the burnt husk of a body or not, cant quite say which way i prefer yet. i do like his sorta venom type powers with the little power draining tendrils, and theyve crafted it well enough that im quite excited for diana and her army to kick his ass.
@vitalius: where has cheshire been so far? i havent come across her yet in any of the titles i read, but i like her as a character, ill gladly check out issues where shes shown up
@drmantistoboggan: I have to say that despite my own doubts for survival, I have to admit that there is very little to suggest he can actually die. I mean, he's been in the Earth's core and Apollo has gone nuclear on him (where he fought with a broken spine and all the torture he went through). Diana's stabbed him in the heart. Poseidon tried to drown him. Orion even tried to gouge out his eyes, and still none of all that has stuck.
As for Cheshire, she's appeared in Red Hood and the Outlaws... and I think she also appeared in Blue Bettle?
@drmantistoboggan: Red Hood and the Outlaws. She is now a member of League of Assassins and she is also more upgraded.
No i read all issue and she wasnt on Blue Beetle+s book. But know that she exists officially on New 52, she could appear more along with assassins, a enemy of Birds of Prey or maybe guest staring on Red Hood and the Outlaws.
