So I'm starting the New 52, and am wondering which books I should get. I'm trying to decide if I should get either Batman: Night of the Owls, Deathstroke (issues 15-20), Nightwing (vol 2) or Green Arrow (vol 5). From best to worst, rank these books. Or just give suggestions.

Joker volume 1? I have no idea what you're talking about. Joker only had 1 issue and it was for villains month.

Get either batman or the flash, both are amazing.

Swamp Thing vol.1,2,and 3. Same with Aquaman 1-3 and Batman 1-3. I heard Batwoman,Green Arrow, The Flash, and Animal Man were all great. Swamp thing and Animal Man are very, very gory and they tie-in in the Rotworld storyline. You will see thing that will make you geek out as a fan and that's all I'm going to say. Batman and Aquaman both have amazing writing and art I mean so good I have read

Them all 3 times. Some bad ass new villains or Batman and a Joker

Like never before. As for Aquaman he gets a huge power boost, new villians,Black Manta kicking ass,

And a justice league tie in. They have made Aquaman an absolute beast he's been flinging submarines like nothing and and tanking bullets. I can't stress it enough.. A must read and I grew up despising Aquaman lol.

@the_tree: and yeah I didn't sell Batman enough... Batman vols 1-3 are incredible. Same writer as Swamp Thing vols 1-3. New villians and Joker is crazier than ever.

@the_tree: yeah Court of Owls was better than DoTF but I still enjoyed the new insanity for the Joker. Rotworld was greatness.

Joker only had one issue, like others said. Between Batman and Flash I liked Batman more.

Batwoman was a surprise hit for me, always kinda bypassed her comics in the past but loved the New 52! and this time round they have put some great effort into making Aquaman cool. he is bad ass, and the art work is awesome.

but out of the ones you mentioned i'd go with the flash.

If you want a monthly series to look out for, go with Larfleeze- its pretty new, only on issue 7 or so.

I'm really enjoying Superman Wonder Woman, It is up to issue #5. Also JLA is pretty good. Haven't read Aquaman, but you really can't go wrong with anything Geoff Johns.

The new story "Red Daughter of Krypton" is really intriguing. So far it is a flipbook Green Lantern / Red Lantern #28 and Supergirl #28, to be continued in Supergirl #29-30 and Red Lanterns #29-30.

Oh yeah. Also the Forever Evil series is really good. But I believe its just a 1-7 issue thing. I think issue 6 is coming out next week.

Top 10 Books at DC Comics right now:

    • Action Comics (Greg Pak, the rest has been terrible.)
    • Batman
    • Batman/Superman
    • Flash (though with Manapul/Buccelleto leaving, we'll see.)
    • Green Arrow (Lemire's run has been the best non-Snyder/Batman run in years.)
    • Harley Quinn (if you're into humor books.)
    • Superman/Wonder Woman
    • Superman Unchained (ending in two issues though.)
    • Swamp Thing (Snyder's run was amazing, and Soule has been great taking over.)
    • Wonder Woman (Other than Snyder's Batman, best book at DC.)

The Flash, Nightwing, and Batman has been pretty good and Batgirl has been all right. I would say The Flash. The series only disappointed with one Batman tie in (Batman needs to keep his events limited to Gotham!). I really recommend the Flash though.

So far I've read Batman volumes 1&2, The Flash volume 1, Green Lantern volume 1 and Justice League volumes 1&2. All of these are incredible comics and can be recommended to anyone looking for a good N52 read.

Green Arrow has been absolutely amazing since Jeff Lemire and Andrea Sorrentino took over, but avoid everything before that (they started with issue #17).

@crazyscarecrow: Now I'm trying to decide whether to get Nightwing volume 2 (night of the owls) or Batman: Night of the Owls. Since you have read both Nightwing and Batman, I figure I'll ask you: which book did you like better? And the Nightwing volume is $8, the Batman one is $13.

@jokerpoker: I actually didn't hope onto reading Batman or Nightwing until that Death of the Family Joker storyline though I have been going back and trying to read them. Judging on the quality of the comics I have read from Batman and Nightwing I would say Nightwing. Nightwing has great art, Nightwing is my favorite DC hero (so my opinion might be a little bias), and each issue kinda reminds me of an episode from a DCAU cartoon. To me the Nightwing series had feel to it that I feel would've been that of a Nightwing DCAU series.
