when will the first major crossover in new 52 begin

and who should write it

im not against mega crossovers, but they should happen at a slow gradual, place that builds it up... like maybe 1 every 8 months... if they take there time with them then they can do it right..

not just do a mega crossover every year

when do you think the first major crossover will happen in new 52

I'm pretty sure that it will start with the Justice League but I ain't that sure.

I feel like the Batman crossover is pretty major already...and all the books crossover with one another...there's already too much interconnectedness for me, has turned me off some books

there's at least two crossovers that are going to happen soon: One with Animal Man and Swamp Thing and the second one is a Bat crossover with different Bat-characters

There's an Animal Man/Swamp Thing crossover, a Stormwatch/Grifter/Superman crossover, a Justice League Dark/I, Vampire crossover and Night of the Owls.

The first real New 52 event needs to wait a few years. a few crossovers are fine but I don't want to see anything major for awhile

@aztek_the_lost: The trick with the 8 months thing is that every now and then DC would be forced to publish 2 major cross overs in a year MWAHAHAHA

Instead of a larger crossover, I would like to more of the smaller crossovers like the Court of Owls in the Batman group, NOWHERE in the Young Justice group, and the Animal Man/Swamp Thing crossover in the Dark group. It is easier to build excitement and show relevency when the crossovers are smaller like those I listed.

Once all the groups and individual comics have been firmly established, then I would like to see a major crossover. Next winter perhaps.

Probably next summer is when we will see some sort of line wide event, but this summer it's this whole "Before Watchmen" thing. As for crossovers in certain families of titles, we're getting Night of the Owls, that Superman one, and probably another Green Lantern event down the road. I've also heard rumblings of an Aquaman event, which sounds fricken sweet.

Also unmentioned, JL Dark and I, Vampire crossover this week. Try 'em. I enjoy them. I think the story will be a really fantastic example of what a (smaller) crossover should look like.

Is the Supes/Grifter/Swatch cross a confirmed linked story, or do they all just share common threads or figures? I hadn't seen any explicit news about that...
