I agree with everyone, but Lois Lane not to say she isn't well known or popular just not a superheroine, though I guess that would make Catwoman questionable too, but she's awesome so I'll but her on any heroines/villaness list any day.

How anyone can argue whether Wonder Woman and Catwoman are more popular than Storm is beyond me. It doesn't matter what facts are given.."SOMEONE" will always say the opposite. Storm did not appear in all 26 episodes of Wolverine and the xmen. She wasn't even there half the time. She also probably also didnt appear in all 76 episodes of xmen the animated series. If we're counting the series in which Batgirl is a regular in then Batgirl wins.

1. Lois Lane as iconic as WW? Nope. Superman and Batman may have a lot of exposure but the X-men too that's why they hold a lot of records. and again, when were those shown? back when there were only a few tvs and theaters right?

2. Ask people and they would usually name a few x-ladies like Storm, Phoenix and Rogue and for dc that would be WW, Catwoman and Supergirl. I believe Supergirl is more popular than Batgirl. It's a bit different when Batgirl is being played by different persons. hence people who don't read comics might even say Batwoman rather than Batgirl.

3. Maybe just a bit but Storm is still going strong and the fact that Storm still has more number of appearances in comics than Batgirl which is a huge difference, I don't think Batgirl can even surpass Storm on this category.

5. If you think only 10k are playing avengers alliance, then i will also think that dc universe has less than 10k players. you do know that there are a lot of marvel vs capcom videos in youtube for gameplays and tournaments and the mvc guide book. Don't forget marvel super hero squad, etc.

6. Storm did show up on the intro jingle of every Wolverine and the X-men episode. Wolverine at the center, Storm on his side. I think it was Cyclops on Wolverine's other side. You do know that x-men characters are being named during intro of every x-men: tas episode. Looks like Storm has more films still than what you have posted. Not to mention more merchandises for Storm than Batgirl, including a Storm perfume and a Storm ride.

7. Good thing Batgirl showed up in ign. But how about on other lists? Batgirl actually also did better at #37 in Wizards greatest 200 while Storm is at #89. But then again, there are a lot of characters who have ranked higher but are not really popular. Anyway, Comic Vine has Storm at #1 for 2011. : )

But even you have to agree Marvel dont do their female characters justice. They just have no idea what to do with them. Which is why they didnt blossom like DC's female characters. I dont even like some of the DC ladies like catwoman or lois lane (i do like batgirl, supergirl and ww) but all of them received so much exposure. lois was in every superman tv series and movies. She was recent on smallville for 5 years and before that lois and clark. Even the tv show have her name in it. You cant deny that DC does a much better job promoting their female characters.Ill just leave it at that since we cant agree on it.
