Well, no, they don't "need" one, but I'd like them to make one, and it's not like it wouldn't net them a hefty bit of cash if done right.

I read this article it was a fantastic read. But I've been telling people this for ages. Warner Brothers is a diverse studio and its good at it. Should it make more DC films, yes of course but they're very good at pushing DC properties (TV, animation, Video Games etc) elsewhere that doesn't take up some movie resources (which may explain why they only did Batman really well in the 2000s because they believed in it.) Disney is too depend on Marvel, WB isn't on DC but its willing to push it if they believe in it.

But if Batman vs Superman does well then we may get more films but I can't imagine them doing two a year. Maybe one as a tentpole.

WB may as well need a DC cinematic universe, because business isn't about netting zero it's about profit. Given that Avengers was one of the highest grossing films of all time WB should be catching one. No one in business needs anything.

while DC is doing their 19th batman film.

Marvel would have had done Inhumans, Alpha flight, surtur, Baron Zemo, Leader, avengers 8 with a different roster and red hulk.

The article didn't say anything that was not true, and movies are not the only media, games make as much profit as movies and merch actually makes more than both. But yeah WB will make more DC movies.

@thorson: then after reading your comment again im guessing you disagree with the article. Also this not your fault everyone make this mistake but WB is in control of all the dc movies that might or might not happen so dc sadly has no control over them.

Of course they do. I Don't understand why are they not making anymore DC films. The amount of character and plot they have they can level any other franchise easily...So why aren't they.Take an example of Green Lantern, although the first movie was a disaster(Due to Plot and casting)still i believe a character like GL specially HAL JORDAN deserves another shot,Green Lantern Universe has so much to tell a huge amount of story that can outrun maybe Justice League Universe....I think WB needs to step up and take some chances,Like Marvel did..I mean come on guys It's freakin DC there is nothing better when it comes to Comic Books...
