Thanks. Most recent source of survival before new 52 was keeping his relatives/descendants on ice to harvest their organs and/or body parts for "repairs".
He also appeared in recent issues of Pandora and does indeed have advanced superhuman healing. To the point that I believe he will be regrowing an arm.
