OK, you see the thing is I adore the few images or the supergirl nightwing flirtation, maybe it's just because I've never really read any comic's with the starfire and nightwing romance, except for watching teen titans, but basically just wondering if anyone else would love to see them as a couple?
DC Comics
Originally known as "National Publications", DC is a publisher of comic books featuring iconic characters and teams such as Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, the Justice League of America, and the Teen Titans, and is considered the originator of the American superhero genre. DC, along with rival Marvel Comics, is one of the "big two" American comic book publishers. DC Entertainment is a subsidiary of Warner Brothers and its parent company Warner Media.
Supergirl and Nightwing: yes or no?
I remember someone suggesting an older Tim Drake and Supergirl (I think it was rogue_mar1e). I would prefer that.
Nightwing and Huntress. <3
@PrinceIMC: lol now that you've said that all I'm picturing is Clark being super protective and threatening him a very funny picture. lol
.....pre New 52 wouldn'tt that make him a sex offender since she is or was underage like 17 to 30 or something similar
@AtraCruor: But she's stuck at the physical age of 17 right? Isn't that the reason Cap Boomerang 2 said he had no intrest in her because he's not a pedophile? Then again this is Nightwing and Supergirl is of course a girl so I can't see a little thing like age getting in his way lol
He is not better off with Starfire. She's put him through almost as much emotional turmoil as Barbara, whose much worse for him. Starfire dumped him twice and married two other men, one time even after he went to Tamaran to plead with her not to go through with it.
Let's not even go INTO all the hell that Barbara put him through.
@BlackArmor:
No. Her aging was just held back during the trip to Earth. As soon as she awoke, she started aging normally.
As for my opinion on Nightwing and Supergirl, I think it's a good idea if it's handled right and Kara matures a little bit more. During their time in the League, they were together many a time and in a few issues where the others were dealing with a threat, the two of them were in Gotham. There is chemistry between the two but it'd be something that would take time to build.
@AtraCruor: No I didn't mean she was stuck I meant that comic characters age extremely slowly making her 17 with him being 30-32 and thus an illegal relationship. I'd wait for a comic year to pass (which was about 5 or 6 real world years in the old dcu ) before judging this relationship. Honestly if I had to see Supergirl with an ex-robin it would be Tim because at least then no one would go to jail
Why perpetuate another World's Finest 2nd tier romantic angle or not? Isn't that why everything is being rebooted to avoid telling the same story over again as much as is possible. Of course they are blowing that with the expanded Beyond Universe coming up.And the fans are going wild for that one.
im not saying i dont prefer him with someone else but i would really like to see this relationship take place. they have hinted at it for a long time and it just seemed right to me. There are so many things they could have played on with this (and still could depending on whether Superman and Batman knew each other when Dick was Robin).
No, there has always been a significant age-gap between Kara and Dick, whether in pre-Flashpoint or in the new 52. In the case of the latter, she is 16 and Dick is 21. Age-gaps don't always mean much, but in this case it does. It's one of the reasons why we don't see Kara date many superheroes despite fan interest because she's too young for most of them. Not to mention the narrative problems of having a street-level character date a cosmic-powered character, each from separate universes.
While I'm not a fan of Dick Grayson/Karen Starr mainly for the reason stated in the sentence above. I do think that Grayson/Starr would work better because she's older and I did enjoy their interactions when they teamed up (Dick as Batman). Not to mention there is some novelty in the idea of two of comics most objectified characters in panel dating each other, Dick Grayson and his ass, Karen and her breasts.
I still think that a potentially cool pairing would be Supergirl and Shazam since Billy is 15, there isn't that much of an age difference and while there could be some awkwardness when Billy interacts with Kara as Shazam, it worked with Stargirl.
@rogue_mar1e: I second that emotion
No. It may just be me, but Kara is the same age as Cassandra Sandsmark, but is aiming for someone who's a few years ahead of her. And that just feels kinda weird to me.
It seems that some people are unaware that 17 isn't underaged in most states/countries. Brad Pitt dated Juliette Lewis when he was 26 and she was 16. Nobody cared then or cares today.
@youknowwhattodo: She is technically much older than 16. Being born before Clark and all.
How old is Dick now..? I mean, sure if he's like 21 or WW's age, it may raise a few eyebrows given how Kara would be dating an adult but you know they could always "age" her up to 19 or something.

No. just my opinion. I think Supergirl and Static would be cool
I don't see the problem with age here. If Scott Pilgrim and Knives Chau is ok, so is Dick Grayson and Supergirl.
That said, while I wouldn't be totally against the idea, it would make things pretty weird between Supergirl and Batgirl. Ultimately I'd much rather Dick were with Barbara, preferably without banging any of her friends...

Age of consent, for one. Not to mention that Supergirl, as a character concept, is supposed to be a perpetual teenager. The idea behind her premise is that she's a very young, superpowered being stuck in an alien world. Dick Grayson, as a character concept, has been a grown man ever since Wolfman's run ended. The Silver Age is over.
The "banging her friends" thing was just a joke - there's no reason why Dick and Kara would actually have to sleep together straight away. I know time works weirdly in comics to keep the characters eternally young, but in-universe time passes normally, I'm sure they could wait a few months for Kara's 18th birthday...
As I said, I'm not particularly into the idea of it, especially since Dick and Kara currently have no real history or friendship, and with Dick in his current situation it's unlikely they'd even run into each other any time soon. All I'm saying is they'd have compatible personalities and the age difference isn't really an obstacle, at least not in my eyes.
