Originally known as "National Publications", DC is a publisher of comic books featuring iconic characters and teams such as Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, the Justice League of America, and the Teen Titans, and is considered the originator of the American superhero genre. DC, along with rival Marvel Comics, is one of the "big two" American comic book publishers. DC Entertainment is a subsidiary of Warner Brothers and its parent company Warner Media.
I'd read it. He could be sorta like DC's deadpool since their funny characters like Harley Quinn and Larfleeze can't break the 4th wall and be super meta the way Freakazoid could be.
@teerack: I'm saying that some people think DC has to compete with Marvel and make a Deadpool character. While that would make money, I don't want them to do that. If they did have a 4th wall breaking character I would welcome Freakazoid.
Not particularly, maybe it's because of all the aspects of Deadpool as a character, him breaking the 4th wall has become overused to the point where it's no longer funny. Besides, the new direction of Harley Quinn is clearly designed to make her the new Deadpool in many aspects so you don't really need Freakazoid.
@teerack:Yes. It's a waste not to use Freakazoid. The humor would have to be more Deadpool, less Animaniacs. And there is some base for that change, since Timm's original concept was a cross between the Creeper and Spider-man.
I think many of the villains would need to be a bit less silly but just as funny. But all of them, along the supporting cast, are possible and have an spectacular appearance that would look great in the DCU. Although lord Bravery is essentially Beefeater.
@youknowwhattodo: Harley and Deadpool are funny but they are antiheroes. Freak is more of a Bugs Bunny, Groucho Marx, Yakko Warner type, but more heroic.
