More New 52 Cancellations

#1 Posted by TerryMcC (306 posts) - - Show Bio

I looked but could't find if this has already been brought up, but I see that there are some more New 52 cancellations with DCU Presents, Swamp Thing and Justice League Dark ending with # 10.

Source. Until then, disbelief.

Considering that DCUP 11 is part 3 of a story, the Source just specially blogged about issue 12 being a one-shot, Swamp Thing leading into a crossover with Animal Man and a joint cover with it for issue 12.... I see absolutely zero evidence to verify that these books are cancelled.

Static Shock could've gotten better, if they gave it a chance. I'm sure JLD is still going as well as Swamp Thing.

Why would DC cancel one of their most highly acclaimed titles (Swamp Thing) - fans love it...

#7 Posted by TerryMcC (306 posts) - - Show Bio

All I know is I subscribe to all three, and I just got a notice from them that I would get # 11 but after that I would be switched to Superman, Batman and Batman: Dark Knight to end out my sub.

If they are going on why in the world would they stop sending them to me at 11?

@TerryMcC:

If your getting issue 11 then their obviously not cancelling the books after issue 10 now are they. In regards to what's happening with your subscription, DC seem to be cutting of the subscription for a number of titles. I'm assuming that they're not receiving enough subs for your titles and others to justify continuing the service for those books in particular. Which is why they have pulled it from your sub.

probably the case

@TerryMcC: The same happened with Red Hood & The Outlaws, I hear. I'm absolutely certain Swamp Thing is not being cancelled though, since it's got this big crossover with Animal Man that is supposed to run until #17 (According to Lemire's blog), plus I've already heard Snyder talking very briefly about what he plans to do after the crossover.

Bummer, that means if I want to keep up with them I would have to get them at my local (over 60 miles from where I live) comic shop, and the old Maxwell isn't what it use to be.

@TerryMcC: Damn dude. 60 miles from your local is serious stuff. I feel for you.
