I recently got interested in checking out hellblazer, but my only issue is, where to start? do I start on original sins or swamp thing vol.3? I want to start with constantines origin, and I heard that you start with swamp thing, I also don't wanna read swamp thing and be confused on the events that are transpiring, I also heard about crisis on infinite earths is that important? So I guess what my question is, where Do I start and wants the order I read and if I start on swamp thing will I be confused, and is infinite crisis important to john constantine story?

I think you'll be fine if you read John Constantine's first appearance in Swamp Thing and then go to Hellblazer #1.

ok and just blaze through all hellblazer is there anything else I should read in between hellblazer comics?

@jrockjesse Not that I know of. And trust me, I would know. You might also like to watch the 2005 Constantine film and the upcoming Constantine television series. Then, you can read his adventures in the New 52 series Constantine or read Justice League Dark. John also appears in some of the New 52's Animal Man comics.

Start with Moore's Swamp Thing run and then Hellblazer or just jump into Hellblazer straight away.

During Hellblazer he appeared in his own minis and OGNs, in Swamp Thing (Veitch, Collins, Millar, BKV, Diggle and Dysart), in a Shade, the Changing Man arc, three issues of The Sandman, one issue of Lucifer, the various Books of Magic stuff and a few cameos in a few DCU books (The Spectre, Zatanna, Green Arrow and etc.). They aren't essential reading, though most of them are good reading.
