I was wondering if the series was any good. I have been a fan of the character from his appearances in the cartoons and was wondering if I should pick it up once its collected.

Kinda slow.

The next issue will be the deciding point.

The first 75% of the book I can't even understand what is going on. It's like this weird black cat coming up here and there. The guy actually puts on the Fate Helmet at the very end. I don't even know if it's really Kent Nelson. The guy doesn't look very Dr. Fate worthy due to him not having the costume yet. Which he better get because it just looks sloppy right now. Plus I'm not a big fan of that art style.

@deathstroke52: WHat has Ken Nelson got to do with anything? He's not even in the book. Also it explains what the cat and the dog are.

When I think of Dr. Fate, I think of Kent Nelson. This guy isn't him.

I still didn't think it was a necessary part.

You can obviously tolerate the issue more than I can. I hope that they can still catch my interest next issue.
