    Justice League: Flashpoint Paradox
    Wonder Woman
Justice League: Crisis On Two Earths

It's at the bottom of the spectrum for me, but still better than a few.

@sinestro_gl: Love GL (reading through Geoff Johns' run right now, in fact) but haven't seen either of them. Which one would you recommend?

Justice League Doom, Under The Red Hood, Dark Knight Returns, Flashpoint, Crisis on Two Earths I would say are my top 5

Justice League War floats around with the rest I've seen to be honest, with Superman vs The Elite, Year One and Doomsday sit tight at the bottom of that list for me.

Yet to see Wonder Woman or All Star.

Both are good, IMO...but I haven't watched First FLight in a while.

Emerald KnightsI watched very recently, and essentially it's just a load of stories from the GLC

I enjoyed War. There was a lot of levity and fun that is missing from other DC movies or that usually just falls flat. And the film did a great job of balancing all of its lead characters while still paying attention to other important side elements. Plus, the animation was beautiful (albeit, some character designs weren't that great). On the down side, I didn't like the depiction of a lot of the characters. Apparently, "younger" at DC equates to "cockier and arrogant". I don't like seeing ALL of these great heroes reduced to such mundane cliches (it would work fine if it were just one - but at least half of them was portrayed as such on more than one occasion). Also, the plot wasn't all the enticing. Darkseid attacks, the League unites. Been there, done that. And nothing all that original happens to make this story worthy of telling on the small screen (this issue is also true of the story its based on). It's really just one big action movie without any sort of depth or purpose.

As far as ranking goes, I'd place it:

    • 1. Batman: Under the Red Hood
    • 2. Wonder Woman
    • 3. Superman/Batman: Apocalypse
    • 4. Superman vs The Elite
    • 5. Justice League: Doom
    • 6. Green Lantern: Emerald Knights
    • 7. Justice League: The New Frontier
    • 8. Justice League War
    • 9. Batman: Year One
    • 10. Batman: The Dark Knight Returns (2 Parts) (2012)
    • 11. Batman: Gotham Knight
    • 12. Justice League: Flashpoint Paradox

So War places in the lower-middle tier of my ranking. It's definitely not something I am going to rewatch all of the time, but it's a fun movie that definitely beats out a lot of my lower picks.

    @sinestro_gl: Glad to hear!

And no, Crisis on Two Earths is one of the few DC films I haven't seen. I generally try to avoid the drastically alternate universe storylines. Sometimes I enjoy it (Injustice: Gods Among Us), but for the most part, I feel like they rely too much on "Wow! Look how different this is than it's supposed to be," and not enough on the characters/plot of the actual film (The Flashpoint Paradox).
Would you recommend Crisis on Two Earths?

@supbatz: I see what you mean...sometimes when you get too many 'alternate realities' it can become tiresome.

Well, the last time I watched COTE was when it came out almost four years ago, and I remember enjoying it a lot. I'm not sure if I'd feel the same way now...BUT I do remember it having some great action scenes, and had good dialogue, and funny moments as well.

Having said that, I'll probably dig out my copy and watch it soon!

This movie was right up there with the best of them. Much better than the story arc it was based off of.

Hey, why so low? I liked that very much and it would be close to the top of the ranking for me.

It definitely doesn't shake-up story-wise, but seeing as that first arc of N52 JL wasn't that spectacular to begin with (/not an "all-time" story like TDKR or AS Superman, etc) it probably isn't fair to judge it on that. It definitely delivered in the action department though. Art wasn't the worse but far from the best**, and I wasn't keen some "change for no reason" aspects to the story. And unless the "big guns" don't want to do the projects anymore*** it'd be nice if they would stick to the same VAs everyone loves.

**They should stick to a few, most well-received, styles. I like some animes, but the should stay away from that style (it doesn't work with more "traditional" western styles - it's better when hair is crazy & funky colored, etc etc). I think they should try to model it off of the art the source-book had (like B/S-A & All-Star did) - it would have been killer to have had Jim Lee-esque art in JL:W

***Although, it's not like the movies are out all the time & other than some exceptions - DC VA work is what many hang their hat on...so why not keep doing it? The fans love these 'vets' more than anyone who's portrayed the characters live-action.
