Green Lanterns vs New Genesis?
@lvenger: I seen th title and thought this was a battle and wondered "that would be a pretty cool fight" lol
@jonny_anonymous: It would seem like a good fight indeed.
@frozen I don't know, maybe it's just the New Gods of New Genesis and not Darkseid who get involved.
GL's giving me crossover fatigue.
You are right actually, this latest one has just finished and now there's this new one isn't there? Still it does give the New Gods an opportunity to interact with The New 52. People have been complaining that The New Gods aren't interacting with the general DCU like they were Pre New 52.
The lantern corps vs New Gods that would be one heck of a fight .
Especially Orion vs Sinestro. I am looking forward to that one a lot.
@lvenger: Yeah , that one is going to crazy .

Can you even imagine Orion as a Red Lantern (potentially)? That would be so scary, IMO. That, and the thought of Highfather combining his Alpha Effect and the Source with the Emotional Spectrum (written properly) is going to be sooo BAUS!!!!

I don't think Orion is going to wear a ring but him unleashing his rage against Sinestro might be a good fight to say the least.
Not excited by the synopsis. Sinestro 6 could be good though :)
The event is building upon the Lights out event that I didn't enjoy. And Highfather as a "villian" doesn't sit well with me.
I think it's brilliant. Good and evil is relative.
From Highfather's perspective, the Lanterns have failed to keep the universe safe. Look at what the old Guardians have done by trying to eradicate free will. The way they lost control of the First Lantern Volthoom. The way the universe almost got destroyed due to the emotional spectrum being empty. How Kyle Rayner seems to have messed up the source code. The war with the Durlan. All those deaths due to the lanterns. The Green lantern book shows how they are losing control and their reputation as the universe strongest force and moral authority which is making criminal groups more willing to commit atrocities across the Universe.
Highfather is right to step in. If the lanterns can't then the New Gods should. If in the process he collects their rings to be able to destroy Darkseid, then in his minds, it's the greater good
From the Green Lantern perspective: They will most likely see the New Gods move as a coup against them which would also lead to the lantern being disband. No corps will allow themselves to disappear and bow to a force that most of them either don't know or know very little off. Despite all the failures of the Green Lanterns, they still view themselves as the ultimate force of good and won't accept being told otherwise.
Brilliant angle DC!
@gabranth: The solicit mentions Highfather wants the source knowledge to use it against Darkseid. And thats probably as deep it will get...For him may be the greater good, but it still doesn't feel like Highfather.
"Highfather, the leader of the New Gods, knows what they did and is trying to finds those secrets for himself"
AND the cover says "With this power I will bring DARKSEID to his Knees"
Im going to get a lot of hate on this board for saying this, but it is a silly concept, IMO. The New Gods are above the Lantern Corps, out of their league.
GL's giving me crossover fatigue.
Truer words has never been spoken.

Inasmuch as carjackers and bank robbers are out of Superman's league? By the same token, Superman still doesn't give them a free pass, he does the job that needs gettin done. The New Gods are doing the same thing
Feel like The New Gods are gonna be winning easily if the Lanterns have to come together... again
I love the New Gods. Orion especially (altho this new weak and pig version is a bit of a facepalm...). But really? Another crossover? Highfather as the generic bad guy? HIGHFATHER? FRIGGIN HIGHFATHER? How the hell are the GLs gonna fight against HF if they had a hard time with Relic? HF the Skyfather of the friggin Multiverse. That guy who's equal to Anti Monitor and DS (apparently). And the worst part.. HF the biggest SPACE HIPPIE!!! What the hell? Why is my favorite Hippie suddenly a warrior?
I'm stoked about this event but also very much worried about the New Gods. It's like the hype for BvS. I'm excited but more worried. I hope these are good writers behind this arc.
you would think as many times as the Lanterns had to team up to save the universe there would be some kind of.....rainbow coalition..? A member from each spectrum to serve as a council to keep peace?
it seems every 6 months someone comes along and they need to stand together and save the day...
Poor Larfleeze he is always the first one to get taken out lol
